For prophylaxis, the routine dosing regimen provided was sufficient, but a higher percentage of ƒT > MIC could be provided by continuous dosing. Systemic clearance; central volume of distribution; intercompartmental clearance; and peripheral volume were the pharmacokinetic parameters.
