Sadeq NA, et al. - The experts undertook this study to summarize the current findings on personality and its association with cognitive decline and depression, as well as treatment outcomes and possible intervention strategies. Personality traits were correlated with cognitive decline, along with diagnosis and course of late-life depression in older adults. However, in clients’ treatment plans, formal personality assessment was not typically incorporated, although personality traits could influence treatment efficacy and outcomes.
