Persistent impairment on spirometry in chronic eosinophilic pneumonia: A longitudinal observation study (Shizuoka-CEP study)
Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Sep 27, 2017
Suzuki Y, et al. - This study explored the predictors as well as the occurrence of persistent impairment of pulmonary function in chronic eosinophilic pneumonia (CEP). Patients with CEP commonly exhibited persistent impairment of pulmonary function. Persistent obstructive impairments were found to be predicted by concurrent asthma and obstructive defects at diagnosis, whereas persistent restrictive impairment was predicted by reticulation at high-resolution computer tomography and restrictive defect at diagnosis. Clinicians are advised to pay attention to these persistent impairments while managing CEP.
