Permanent His-bundle pacing: A systematic literature review and meta-analysis

Zanon F, et al. - Patients undergoing permanent His-bundle pacing (HBP) were studied by the experts in order to describe the benefits and risks of this therapy. It was also noted that average pacing thresholds were 1.71 V at implant and 1.79 V at >3 months follow-up, although, pulse widths varied at testing and the average. LVEFs were 42.8% at baseline and 49.5% at follow-up. It was assessed that implant success rate averaged 84.8% and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) improved by an average of 5.9% during follow-up after reviewing 26 articles of permanent HBP.
