Peripheral arterial disease is associated with higher mortality in patients with incident acute myocardial infarction

Dinser L, et al. - The goal of this work was to investigate the correlation between peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and 28-day case fatality along with long-term mortality in patients with incident acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Significant variation was noted with regard to the long-term survival between AMI patients with PAD and their counterparts without PAD.
