Perioperative risk factors predict one-year mortality in patients with acute type-A aortic dissection
Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery Sep 16, 2020
Yang Y, Xue J, Li H, et al. - Researchers evaluated perioperative risk factors to predict one- year death following surgery for acute type A aortic dissection (AAD). Participants included consecutive patients (n = 121) receiving Stanford type A AAD surgery in Beijing Anzhen Hospital. Experts gathered preoperative clinical and laboratory data. Age, intraoperative blood transfusion ≥ 2000 mL, postoperative oxygenation index< 200 mmHg and level of postoperative serum creatinine were identified as the perioperative risk factors to predict one-year prognosis. These observations assist not only in the comprehension of surgical results but also in the optimization of management strategies for patients with perioperative risk factors to reduce one-year death.
