Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia Mar 07, 2018

Burton BN, et al. - Whether certain comorbidities, demographic factors, and postoperative outcomes are associated with 30-day reintubation after thoracic surgery, was investigated in this retrospective observational study. The risk for 30-day mortality, reoperation, postoperative blood transfusion, and increased hospital length of stay was considerable among those who experienced unplanned intubation.
