Aoki Y, et al. – This meta–analysis was conducted to explain the evidence that amino acid (AA) infusion could increase patient body temperature and improve clinical outcomes using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation system. In the perioperative period, AA infusion increased patient body temperature and improved clinical outcomes compared with placebo. However, the evidence to recommend the use of AA infusion was limited, and further large–scale randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were needed.
