Sessler DI, et al. - Herein, the goal was to gauge the link between hypotension and a composite of 30-day myocardial infarction and death over three periods: intraoperative, remaining day of surgery, and during the initial 4 postoperative days. Researchers found that even after adjusting for previous hypotension, there existed a significant association of clinically important hypotension, which represents a potentially modifiable exposure, with a composite of myocardial infarction and death during each of three perioperative periods.
