Perinatal and maternal outcomes after frozen vs fresh embryo transfer cycles in women of advanced maternal age
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology Oct 02, 2020
Zhang X, Bai L, Ren H, et al. - Researchers compared perinatal and maternal outcomes after autologous frozen embryo transfer (FET) and fresh embryo transfer (ET) cycles in women of advanced maternal age (AMA) via retrospectively studying 1,663 FET and 3,964 fresh ET cycles in reproductive medical centers from 2009 to 2014. Outcomes revealed higher perinatal risks of AMA patients in FET than in fresh ET, including higher birth weight, risks of macrosomia in singleton births, and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.
