Perilesional apparent diffusion coefficient in the preoperative evaluation of glioma grade
Clinical Imaging Jul 13, 2018
Yazdani M, et al. - In the present study, the researchers evaluated water diffusivity within normal-appearing brain parenchyma (NABP) surrounding gliomas in 21 treatment-naïve patients to determine whether perilesional apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values differ between high- and low-grade tumors. The findings demonstrated that, between high- and low-grade tumors, ADC values were significantly different. The outcomes revealed that lower ADC values were observed in normal-appearing white matter surrounding high grade gliomas.
