Jayaraj M, et al. - In patients with periampullary diverticulum (PAD), researchers evaluated the technical success and the occurrence of complications during ERCP via conducting a comprehensive search of several databases and conference proceedings including PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science databases (earliest inception to October 2017). When performed by specialists in the presence of PAD, ERCP is technically feasible and increasingly successful. In patients with and without PAD, the risk of complications like Post-ERCP Pancreatitis (PEP), bleeding, perforation and cholangitis did not vary between ERCP done.
