Cho YJ, et al. - This study examined the predictive performance of the Minto pharmacokinetic model for remifentanil target-controlled infusion during cardiopulmonary bypass in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Despite showing considerable bias, the Minto model displayed overall acceptable precision during bypass and when using this model during hypothermic circulatory arrest, the target concentration of remifentanil should be reduced.
