Performance of SLE responder index and lupus low disease activity state in real life: A prospective cohort study
International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases Aug 08, 2019
Ramirez GA, Canti V, Moiola L, et al. - The performance of the systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) responder index (SRI) and the lupus low disease activity state were prospectively assessed in a cohort-based, “real-life” clinical setting. Researchers subdivided 131 consecutive patients with SLE into two groups based on the need or not to escalate their immune-suppressive treatment. The analysis revealed the utility of lupus low disease activity state but not of SRI-4 for treatment de-escalation. SRI seemed less informative, at least in patients with low basal SLE Disease Activity Index 2000.
