Performance of CT scan of abdomen and pelvis in detecting asymptomatic synchronous metastasis in breast cancer

James J, et al. - Authors in this retrospective study aimed to assess the cost effectiveness and usefulness of CT scan of abdomen and pelvis (CTAP) in new breast cancers. Observations suggested a high incidence of false positive rates and low yield with staging CTAP, especially among EBCs. They suggested choosing this investigation more selectively than currently practiced.
