Pediatric Cardiology Mar 22, 2018

Data disclosed that VSD closure was challenging, irrespective of the use of a surgical or percutaneous procedure. Higher risks were discovered among children younger than 1 year with low body weight. It was deduced that percutaneous closure, which carried similar risks but was less invasive than surgery, could be the alternative choice in early infancy.
