Perceived pain extent is not associated with widespread pressure pain sensitivity, clinical features, related disability, anxiety, or depression in women with episodic migraine

The Clinical Journal of Pain Feb 16, 2018

Fernández-de-las-Peñas C, et al. - Researchers here investigated if the perceived pain extent, assessed from pain drawings, relates to measures of pressure pain sensitivity, clinical, psychological outcomes, and related disability in women with episodic migraine. Findings revealed no association of pain extent within the trigeminocervical area with any of the measured clinical outcomes. Furthermore, it was not correlated with the degree of pressure pain sensitization in these women.
