Peak neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio correlates with clinical outcomes in patients with severe traumatic brain injury
Neurocritical Care Oct 08, 2018
Chen J, et al. - Researchers investigated the relationship between peak neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and 1-year outcomes in patients with severe traumatic brain injury (sTBI) via retrospectively reviewing the clinical data of 316 patients with sTBI treated in their department between January 2013 and January 2017. Multivariable logistic regression analysis identified peak NLR as an independent predictor for unfavorable outcomes after sTBI. The day 1 NLR, as well as admission Glasgow Coma Scale score, showed independent correlation with increased peak NLR.
