Patterns of uveitis in children at the apex institute for eye care in India: Analysis and review of literature

Takkar B, et al. – The topic under inspection here were the patterns of uveitis in Indian children. This study also performed a comparison with data sets published earlier in the literature. It was reported that these patterns could differ between regions from even within the same geopolitical region. Anterior uveitis appeared to be the commonest, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis and toxoplasmosis were determined as the most frequent etiologies. Diagnosis of pediatric ocular tuberculosis was more cumbersome in children than in adults. It required better and well–defined criteria.
