Patterns of care and survival impact of adjuvant chemoradiotherapy for oropharyngeal cancer with intermediate-risk features
Head & Neck May 24, 2019
Goel AN, et al. - Survival outcomes in 2164 patients with oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma with intermediate-risk features were compared for adjuvant chemoradiotherapy (aCRT) vs adjuvant radiotherapy (aRT). The patients were without positive margins or extracapsular extension and had at least one intermediate-risk feature. For both human papillomavirus (HPV)-positive (62.0%) and HPV-negative (64.3%) patients, aCRT was commonly used but was not associated with better survival vs aRT.
