JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery Sep 08, 2017
Welshhans JL, et al. - This study sought to assess the relative value of specific facial plastic surgeon personal and practice attributes available online from the perspective of patients. As per observations, facial plastic surgery patients value surgeons the most who published outcomes. Moreover, they seemed willing to discount poor rating scores and lower-ranked institutional affiliations when outcome transparency was high. Findings thus suggested cruciality of outcome transparency in facial plastic surgery markets.
