Patient reported outcomes predict mortality in lupus
Arthritis Care & Research Aug 30, 2018
Azizoddin DR, et al. - In systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), authors evaluated if patient-reported outcomes (PROs) predict mortality. Even after accounting for demographics (including poverty) and disease (duration, activity and damage), mortality in SLE was independently predicted by the patient-reported physical function. Due to the easy accessibility of PROs, there was a probable utility of these outcomes in triaging, tracking and guiding early interventions for those at high risk of mortality in SLE.
