International Urogynecology Journal Oct 12, 2017
Campbell J, et al. - A retrospective national cohort study was carried out to compare sacrospinous ligament fixation (SSF) utilizing a suturing device with traditional SSF for the treatment of vault prolapse, in regards to symptoms of prolapse recurrence, patient satisfaction, the incidence of re-operation, and complications 1 year postoperatively. As per the study outcome, patient satisfaction was similar 1 year after SSF, despite symptoms of recurrence being more likely and reoperation more common after utilizing a suturing device compared with a traditional technique. The methods did not vary with regard to surgical complications.
