Patency and incontinence rates after robotic bladder neck reconstruction for vesicourethral anastomotic stenosis and recalcitrant bladder neck contractures: The turns experience
Urology May 26, 2018
Kirshenbaum EJ, et al. - Experts assessed success and incontinence rates of robotic bladder neck reconstruction (RBNR) in patients with a recalcitrant bladder neck contracture or vesicourethral anastomotic stenosis. They defined incontinence as the use of >1 pad per day or procedures for incontinence. Findings suggested robotic bladder neck reconstruction to be a viable surgical option with high patency rates and favourable continence outcomes. This was seen to be in contrast to high incontinence rates of perineal reconstruction.
