Longo UG, et al. - This study appraised patellar resurfacing in total knee arthroplasty by analyzing comparative studies in current literature. Patellar resurfacing TKAs showed better performance than non-resurfaced TKAs, based on the outcome scores of KSS (Pain), KSS (Function), and HSS post-op. Furthermore, patellar resurfaced TKAs had lower secondary operation and revision rates.
