Parkinsonian patients with striatal cribriform state present rapidly progressive axial parkinsonism

Lee SH, et al. - This research aspired to explain the significance of striatal cribriform state (SCS) observed in patients with primary progressive parkinsonism. In this study, most parkinsonian patients with SCS showed rapidly progressive parkinsonism predominated by postural instability and gait disturbance. SCS observed in patients with parkinsonism did not appear to be a coincidental finding correlated with the generalized cerebrovascular process.
