Maeta T, et al. – The specialists explored the clinical significance of portal vein (PV) resection in distal cholangiocarcinoma. They illustrated that PV invasion in distal cholangiocarcinoma was associated with locally advanced disease and several negative prognostic factors. However, they noticed poor survival in patients who had PV resection even after curative resection.
