Pancreas-preserving management of grade-C pancreatic fistula and a novel bridging technique for repeat pancreaticojejunostomy: An observational study
International Journal of Surgery Feb 24, 2018
Ma T, et al. - In this study, researchers introduce their experience of external wirsungostomy for grade-C postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) and a novel technique to do the repeat pancreaticojejunostomy (PJ) (re-PJ). To preserve the pancreas remnant in grade-C POPF patients, external wirsungostomy could be a safe, feasible and effective method. The novel bridging technique could be a simpler alternative to traditional re-pancreaticojejunostomy in reducing the surgical time and blood loss.
