Puvanesarajah S, et al. - Experts evaluated the relationships between interval breast cancer and genomic cancer characteristics. As per data, associations between interval detection and poor prognostic features were similar by race and density status, when stratifying by mammographic density and race. For interval cancer rates, the aggressive tumour biology was an important contributor, as suggested by strong associations between interval cancers and poor-prognosis genomic features (non-Luminal A subtype and high risk of recurrence score).
