PAK1 overexpression promotes cell proliferation in cutaneous T cell lymphoma via suppression of PUMA and p21
Journal of Dermatological Science Jan 17, 2018
Wang Y, et al. - This trial was designed to determine the p21-activated kinase 1 (PAK1) expression pattern and along with the underlying mechanism in patients with cutaneous T cell lymphoma (CTCL). PAK1 was shown to be up-regulated. Induction of apoptosis and inhibition of cell growth by stimulating the expression of PUMA and p21 via PAK1 silencing was demonstrated. Hence, PAK1 could serve as a potential tumor marker and therapeutic target of CTCL.
