Paip1 predicts poor prognosis and promotes tumor progression through AKT/GSK-3β pathway in lung adenocarcinoma
Human Pathology Mar 29, 2019
Wang Y, et al. - Since the expression and biological role of Paip1 in most human cancers is not well understood, researchers studied its clinical value and role in lung adenocarcinoma (LADC). In 58 LADC patients with strict follow-up and 60 cases of adjacent normal lung tissues, they used immunohistochemistry to determine Paip1 expression. According to findings, in LADC, Paip1 expression is significantly upregulated and its overexpression is related to poor prognosis in these patients. Attenuated Paip1 expression, by regulating the signaling pathway of AKT/GSK-3β, suppresses proliferation and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition-related migration of A549 and H1299 cells.
