Pain Apr 26, 2018
de Heer EW, et al. - Researchers here focused to assess an insight into the longitudinal association between pain and common mental disorders in the general adult population that could help improve prevention and treatment strategies. As per findings, moderate to severe pain and interference due to pain were noted to be strong risk factors for first-incident or recurrent mood and anxiety disorders. This was observed irrespective of other mental disorders. Findings thereby highlight the significance of pain management programs that may also serve as a preventative program for mental disorders.
