Fitzpatrick E, et al. - Experts assessed the potential benefits and harms of ozone therapy as an advanced care intervention for chronic wounds. The application of ozone as a treatment for chronic wounds was favoured in the results. Nonetheless, there is no conclusive evidence of the superiority of the ozone therapy compared with standard treatments. Ozone therapy as an advanced wound care treatment could improve the proportion of chronic wounds healed in a shorter amount of time vs standard care treatments.
