Oxygen for Category II intrauterine fetal resuscitation: A randomized, noninferiority trial
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology Jan 18, 2018
Raghuraman N, et al. - In this randomized, noninferiority trial, researchers inquire the hypothesis that room air (RA) for Category II fetal heart tracings (FHT) is not worse than oxygen (O2) in reducing umbilical artery (UA) lactate, a marker of metabolic acidosis and neonatal morbidity. Findings suggest that intrauterine resuscitation with RA is not inferior to O2 in improving UA lactate among these patients.
