Outcomes of singleton small for gestational age preterm infants exposed to maternal hypertension: A retrospective cohort study
Pediatric Research May 18, 2019
ElSayed E, et al. - A retrospective population-based study using the Canadian Neonatal Network was made in small for gestational age (SGA) infants <33 weeks gestation, as hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP), were serving as a major cause of SGA. The study included 2081 SGA infants, out of which 1317 were born to HDP mothers and had lower odds of mortality and bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). Lower odds of mortality and BPD were noticed in preterm SGA infants of HDP mothers in comparison to non-HDP mothers.
