Wong E, et al. - The researchers herein compared the outcomes and complications of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) between patients with Parkinson’s disease to those without. They concluded that the Parkinson’s disease was not related to the poorer functional outcomes or increased complications compared to controls. Parkinson’s disease was not noted to be an absolute contraindication to TKA.
