Jazayeri D, et al. - An inquiry was set up with regard to the incidence of birth defects in children born to mothers taking antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) for non-epilepsy indications. A similar risk of having a child with a congenital malformations (CM) was found among women taking AEDs for non-epilepsy indications compared with women taking AEDs for epilepsy.
