Pampa-Saico S, et al. - Researchers sought to assess the clinical outcomes and potential complications associated with a peritoneal dialysis catheter (PDC) left in place after kidney transplantation (KT). For this purpose, they performed a retrospective observational study, wherein, they found that although delayed PDC removal after KT was associated with low complication rates, a need for regular examination should not be overlooked so that mild infections can be detected early and therapy promptly instituted.
