Outcomes in patients treated with ticagrelor vs clopidogrel after acute myocardial infarction stratified by renal function
Heart Mar 29, 2018
Edfors R, et al. - Patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI) were examined for outcomes of ticagrelor vs clopidogrel stratified by estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). A lower risk for the composite of death, MI or stroke and a higher bleeding risk across all strata of eGFR was noted in association with treatment with ticagrelor vs clopidogrel. Those with eGFR <30 suffered more abundant bleeding events.
