Outcomes following revision of the revision total elbow arthroplasty

Domos P, Chelli M, Papanna MC, et al. - This study was intended to present the outcomes of this rarely performed procedure. Between 2007 and 2016, retrospective identification of all patients who underwent Revision of Revision Total Elbow Arthroplasty (RRTEA). Outcomes were evaluated clinically applying a number of validated systems and radiographs were examined for prosthesis alignment, cementation by Morrey grading, and heterotrophic ossification. Researchers distinguished 22 patients as having RRTEA. According to the results, RRTEA was found to be a satisfactory treatment option in these complex cases with good short to mid-term survival rates but with a relatively high complication rate.
