Mohseni S, et al. - Authors in the present study assessed outcomes following resection versus non-resection management of severe pancreatic injury caused by penetrating trauma. They observed no significant decrease in mortality with resection for treatment of grade III and IV pancreatic injury. However, the resection was associated with an increase in hospital length of stay.
