Outcome of intracerebral haemorrhage related to non-vitamin K antagonists oral anticoagulants versus vitamin K antagonists: A comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis
Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery & Psychiatry | Oct 18, 2017
Boulouis G, et al. - This meta-analysis was conducted to compare baseline intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) volume, haematoma expansion and clinical outcomes between non-vitamin K antagonists oral anticoagulants (NOAC)-ICH vs. vitamin K antagonists-ICH (VKA-ICH). This systematic review confirmed that for NOAC-ICH vs. VKA-ICH, ICH volume, haematoma expansion, mortality and functional outcome appeared to be similar. To provide more precise estimates, large prospective cohorts and updated meta-analyses were required.
