Komeya M, et al. - Researchers assessed the influence of overnight ureteral catheterization and ascertained whether routine long-term post-stenting could be avoided in flexible ureterorenoscopy (fURS) procedure for kidney stone. As per data, in reducing postoperative complications, the efficacy of short-term post-stenting using overnight ureteral catheterization in uncomplicated cases after fURS for kidney stone was similar to conventional long-term post-stenting. Experts noted that routine long-term post-stenting could be unnecessary.
