Outcome following radiotherapy for head and neck basal cell carcinoma with ‘aggressive’ features

Rishi A, et al. – This report outlined the outcomes following definitive radiotherapy (dRT) or post–operative radiotherapy (PORT) for head–and–neck basal cell carcinomas (HN–BCC) with aggressive features. Results suggested that RT was an effective treatment for ‘aggressive’ HN–BCC when used as a definitive modality or as PORT. In addition, non–surgical management with definitive radiotherapy provides an alternative effective option if surgery was not used.
