Pharande P, et al. - As a part of this study, an inquiry was carried out of the efficacy of oral paracetamol in closing a symptomatic patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) when used as Ârescue option. Oral paracetamol displayed the potential of serving as a therapeutic option in premature infants where therapy with first-line agents was unsuccessful or contraindicated. There existed a possibility of the concomitant sepsis and furosemide administration influencing the successful therapy.
