Optimal dose of succinylcholine for laryngeal mask airway insertion: Systematic review, meta-analysis and metaregression of randomised control trials
BMJ Open | Aug 11, 2017
Liao AHW, et al. – Researchers sought to determine the optimal dose of succinylcholine for laryngeal mask airway (LMA) insertion and all related morbidities. They reported that LMA insertion can be facilitated and insertion–related reflexes can be attenuated without marked postoperative myalgia as a result of using succinylcholine versus none. However, additional prospective studies with a larger sample size are required to fully evaluate the dose-dependent effect and complications of succinylcholine for LMA insertion.
