One-Year symptom outcomes after sialolithiasis treatment with sialendoscopy-assisted salivary duct surgery
The Laryngoscope Aug 31, 2018
Ryan WR, et al. - Experts prospectively evaluated the patients with sialolithiasis before and at 3 months and 1 year after sialendoscopy-assisted salivary duct surgery (SASDS) using the Chronic Obstructive Sialadenitis Symptoms (COSS) questionnaire. Results demonstrated an association of SASDS for sialolithiasis extraction with durable, long-term benefit regardless of endoscopic or open technique or sialolith location. This correlation suggests the unlikeliness of the subsequent ductal stenosis from iatrogenic or sialolithiasis-related inflammation fibrosis.
