Holsgaard-Larsen A, et al. - Researchers sought to determine long-term efficacy of neuromuscular exercise (NEMEX) with instructions in optimized pharmacological treatment (PHARMA) on activities of daily living (ADL) in patients with early knee osteoarthritis. Findings demonstrated no difference in improvement in difficulty with ADL. Improved knee symptoms to a greater extent, were afforded by NEMEX, in addition to resulting in clinically relevant improvements in half of the patients.
