One-stage anatomical revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: results according to tunnel overlaps
Arthroscopy Nov 27, 2020
Ahn JW, Son DW, Jeong HJ, et al. - This study was intended to present clinical outcomes according to tunnel overlap in one-stage anatomical revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). Researchers retrospectively examined all patients who had undergone revision ACLR performed by a single surgeon in 2012–2017 and were followed up for > 24 months. In this study, 46.9 months (range, 24–97 months) was the mean follow-up duration of 93 patients. It was shown that one-stage anatomical revision ACLR significantly improved the clinical outcomes. The findings revealed that most tibial tunnels (94%) and approximately half (44%) of the femoral tunnels overlapped. The results indicated that the overlapped femoral tunnel-group did not exhibit inferior outcomes or stability.
