Kuesters S, et al. - Oncologic outcome and survival after laparoscopically assisted pancreatic head resection for ductal adenocarcinoma were evaluated via comparing perioperative and oncological outcome of sixty-two laparoscopically assisted pancreatic head resections for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma performed between 2010 and 2016 with outcome of 278 open resections between 2001 and 2016 in a retrospective study. The groups were comparable concerning oncologic outcome and actuarial survival. However, minimally invasive resection was noted to shorten the hospital stay considerably.
